The 2010 Medway Sports Awards are open for nominations. We produced this short trailer promo to raise awareness and heighten the profile of the awards.

The Medway Sports Awards are a major celebration of sport covering the whole of Medway’s sporting community. The awards highlight the achievements and dedication of Medway athletes, coaches, clubs, teams and schools.

Focal Point was a spectacular performance of aerial daredevilry and pyrotechnic explosions on board LV21, the finale of the FUSE Medway Festival.

Focal Point was a unique commission by FUSE. The finale performance brought together LV21, an iconic lightship moored on the Medway currently being transformed into a floating cultural centre, exponents of multi-disciplinary aerial performance Scarabeus Theatre, and creative pyrotechnicians The World Famous.

I produced this film for a youth theatre project devised by Play On Words Community Theatre, filmed on location at Fort Amherst and The Great Lines, Chatham.

Another film produced for the BBC highlighting the ‘behind the scenes’ operations across a number of BBC locations.

This promotional video was commissioned by BBC Workplace to promote and celebrate the work of the hundreds of behind the scenes personnel. They are the invisible army that keeps the BBC running smoothly and efficiently enabling it to produce quality programming. The video explains the roles that they play within the organisation and recognises the value of their work.

ACDC Vs Iron Man 2 was an architectural projection mapping on Rochester Castle using the latest in animation techniques, a project by seeper, sony and jack. I was called in to shoot the night’s events.

Technically quite a challenging shoot and a really impressive spectacle for those that managed to catch the live performance. You can watch the full length promo here.

After we rebranded his print material, photographer David Brunetti’s website is launched.

David is an award-winning photographer specializing in humanitarian issues and social-documentary photography. His new website enables him to manage all of his portfolio remotely via a server based photo management system.

Earlier this month we filmed hundreds of school children singing a selection of National Anthems for the award ceremonies at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup being staged at Medway Park, 8-11 April 2010. The multi-camera shoot (including crane) was filmed over 3 days at the Brook Theatre. Some twenty primary and junior schools took part in the filming. The children performed really well singing in Chinese, Hungarian and Polish as well as a selection of other languages . The films can be seen during the MPWC and on screens around Medway Park.

The Symbian Foundation released the first completely open-sourced version of its mobile phone operating system this month, a move it hopes will make it easier for developers to improve the software and create applications for use on Symbian-based phones. Majinate operates the Accredited Symbian Developer (ASD) programme on behalf of Symbian and therefore needed a style update to reinforce the new Symbian Foundation brand. We’re pleased that they have appropriately decided on a ‘western’ theme which we designed for them. Go see.

Light Vessel 21 arrived in Medway today and was berthed at Gillingham pier. LV21 is a 40 metre steel-hulled lightship being transformed into a floating cultural facility designed to provide a range of services promoting and supporting the creative industries in the Medway area and beyond, whilst celebrating and honouring the maritime traditions of the vessel. LV21 Ltd was set up by myself and Päivi Seppälä as a vehicle to celebrate Kent and Medway’s maritime heritage as well as becoming a unique venue with an individual and distinct identity, one of the area’s prime platforms for cultural activities across diverse artistic disciplines.

I will be basing my studio on the ship as soon as the initial renovation work is complete. Facilities will include a green screen studio, digital edit suite and creative workspace. Find out more about the LV21 project at the Light Vessel 21 website which I also designed.
