The Accentuate programme aims to get disabled people the recognition they deserve. I was commissioned to film the launch event at the Brighton Dome on the International Day of Disabled People, and 1,000 days before the start of the 2012 Paralympic Games – Accentuate has given itself those 1,000 days to make a cultural shift in people’s views. This week I delivered 9 films to Kent TV who commissioned me to produce an hours content for their updated online TV Channel. The films focus on some of Kent’s elite athletes and their preparations and plans for the 2012 Olympics, as well as the coaches and volunteers that support them.
Interviews with Chris Hespe, Head of Sport, Leisure & Olympics at KCC and Stephanie Holt, KCC’s Manager for the 2012 Games outlined how Kent is preparing for the games.
